TAMPA - Officials had to close southbound lanes of Bruce B. Downs at Bearss Avenue today after a car hit a bicyclist, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
The victim, who wasn't identified, was taken to the emergency room at St. Joseph's Hospital, the sheriff's office said.
The accident happened just before 6 p.m. The road was closed for about an hour as officials treated the victim and investigated the accident, the sheriff's office said.
I'd really like to know more about this "accident"... that's just a couple of blocks away from where I live, and I use that intersection all the time...
