To celebrate Independence Day, about 45 bicyclists pedaled the Independence from Oil Day" Bike Ride down Bayshore Blvd in Tampa vefore the rains soaked Tampa.
Before the cyclists left Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in downtown Tampa, about 20 bicyclists gathered at Hillsborough High School on Central Avenue in Seminole Heights to bike to meet the rest of the bike crowd.
