Enjoy Your Independence Day

Today is the Fourth of July and it's a day to rejoice in the birth of a country that had the audacity at the time in 1776 to discuss concepts such as all men created equal (women would come later) in a document called the Declaration of Independence, which sowed the seeds of the liberties and freedoms that are outlined in our Constitution. Consider those liberties and freedoms carefully whenever you witnessing our government take action to erode them.

I was cycling early this morning in Temple Terrace when I saw folks already lining up their chairs -- and golf carts, naturally -- for a July Fourth celebration.
