Happens Every Time When I Ride

Three things I notice on every bicycle ride:

1. The stunning number of motorists who do not use their turn signals here in the Tampa Bay area.

2. When next to these vehicles on my bicycle, it's amazing how ridiculously and cartoonishly big the Escalades, Expeditions, Sequoias, Suburbans etc. are.

3. How no matter what happens the rest of the day, the day is a-ok thanks to that bicycle ride.

Finally bought a brand new car in December, after 17 1/2 years of the old one. And yet, still cycling more miles than driving and prefer shopping by bike than by car. Running in and out of stores is so much easier with a bike, just can't carry as much.

re #1: so true. Even TPD is guilty. And could anything be easier than using the turn signal?

#2: does it seem like they give off an exceptional amount of heat? (as well as being pre-historic in size)

It's not just Tampa. No one anywhere uses a turn signal. Until they're already turning of course. And on your second point, nearly sideswiped by some enormous SUV changing lanes and then turning right in front of me (no signal) on my ride in this morning.
