The last time I saw Rachel VanSlyke was in late March of 2008 in Polk County on US 27 in central Florida. Rachel; was biking from Miami to Montreal and was hauling a trailer with her guitar case -- the one you see above.
Well, this morning I met Rachel again in the studios of WMNF radio, 88.5 FM, who is in town to play the 2009 Bicycle Bash by the Bay. Rachel played three songs on Ed Lehmann's folk music show this morning with members of the Seminole Heights Bicycle Club in the audience and enjoying the performance.
Rachel is a talented young woman, cyclist and performer and you will hear her play at the Bicycle Bash by the Bay at 12 noon and 2 pm.
