Tonight it was Pugsley time to meet my friend Jose Lambiet, my old Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel colleague who lives on the Vero barrier island.
We biked along A1A where I showed him the secret Shore Trail that takes you to the ocean through a clandestine back trail.
It was one of those classic Florida September evenings when the sea breeze and pink-blue light are all you needed to pedal.
We biked over to Riverside Park on the intracoastal side of the barrier island and I wowed him with the bad ass red rear wheel lights.
