Linda Saul-Sena, A Tampa Councilwoman Who Supports Bicycling, Announces Bid For Hillsborough County Commission This Morning
Linda Saul-Sena, who went to bat for bicyclists in Tampa as a Tampa city councilwoman, announced this morning that she is running for county commission against current Hillsborough County Commission Chairman Ken Hagan. Saul-Sena made her announcement at the Tampa train station, which she helped save and restore when she worked at the MPO years ago.
To hear her remarks, check out this video:
Hey, Jim Shirk is in the house. Jim is a great all-around bicycle advocate and volunteer for the Bicycle Bash.
That's Mr. Otto of the local newspaper, the Tampa Tribune or Mother Trib as Mr. Otto likes to say.
And that's Mr. Neck of the local Otto. That neck reminds me of the neck of Otis Sistrunk, the former great noseguard of the Oakland Raiders. Remember when the Oakland Raiders made the playoffs every year? That's how old I am.
Outside the train station, Tampa police protested Saul-Sena not approving a pay increase.

Go Linda! She knows how this community needs to evolve. The police were ridiculous.
Aw, poor poor policemen (notice there was no policewomen) can't survive on $22.30 - $36.23 an hour, $46,384.00 - $75,358.40 a year. That's why they're called pigs.
Go Linda Go. And thanks Alan!
