Police Unity Tour Report

My cycling pal Ellen, who is biking from Brunswick, Ga. to Washington, DC for this year's Police Unity Tour, sent this report from road Saturday. The PUT raises money for law enforcement killed in the line of duty. Ellen is leading a contingent of about a dozen Tampa Bay area law enforcement bicylists to DC. Here is her report:

"We have had great support. We went to 3 ceremonies today honoring officers. Long day of 105 miles. We have been lucky with great weather. About 30 miles of head winds today from the 60 mile mark to 90.

"Tomorrow is our longest day. 125 ish. Florence to Fayetteville. Hope all are resting to pull me for 3 days. That dog ran with us for about half mile. Hopefully more good news tomorrow."

Ellen is a tremendous advocate of bicycling and Bicycle Stories wishes her and her comrades safe pedaling for the next week to DC.
