Seminole Heights is a terrific neighborhood filled with a lot of interesting bicycle characters such as famed Ghost Rider Jack Sweeney, speedy cyclist Alan Badia and hard-core bicyclist Chip Thomas who served on the local Bicycle-Pedestrian advisory committee back in the 1990s. The old Seminole Heights Neighborhood Association has a biways and highways committee chaired by Angelo Rao, who helped make St. Petersburg a bicycle-friendly place and is a very pro-bicycle lane guy who works now as a consultant.
Another bicyclephile is Picot Floyd, who has his whole family on wheels and, as you notice, makes sure his kids don helmets for bike rides to 3 Coins restaurant on Nebraska Avenue.
