If you're bicycling on Gandy Avenue from St. Pete and heading to the Gandy Bridge, pay your respects to the bicycle memorial that honors the life of Frankie Bentley, who was killed on his bicycle by a driver in front of Derby Lane. Florida leads the country in per capita bicyclists fatalities every year. Yet, seems drivers never pay the price when bicyclists are killed.
