Two New Bicycle Books By Local Tampa Bay Bicycle Guys

In the past week, I have been lucky to receive two books from two terrific bicycle advocates in the Tampa Bay region.

Clearwater's Chip Haynes and Danid Luppino of Tampa have come out with books this spring and I'm happy to plug them.

Chip is the gifted artist who has crafted the fliers for the annual Bicycle Bash by the Bay, put on by SWFBUD. Chip has also put together 29 bicycles at his home and is a throwback velo lover who can build just about any type of bicycle.

He has authored a fantastic book called, The Practical Cyclist

The book's subtitle is Bicycling For Real People and that's Chip in a nutshell. He's as real as it gets.

David is the former owner of the Carrollwood Bicycle Emporium and former part-owner of Oliver's Cycle Sports and Suncoast Trailside Bicycles. He will be opening a new bicycle store called Just Ride Bicycles in Riverview near Fish Hawk Ranch in May.

David has co-authored a book on the Tour de France called, Guide To The Tour de France

David's co-author is Pscal Inauen and the pair followed the 2008 Tour de France and offers colorful anecdotes and photos about the world's most famous bike race.

I know Chip and David well and I'm happy to recommend both books.
