The Official Shirt of Bike Commuting

This is the base T-shirt I wear while cycling to and from work at the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Speaking of my commute today, this milestone was struck today at mile 8 of my 12.3-mile bike commute.

Bike to Work, A Bike At Work, Bike From Work

Let's go for a bike ride.

First, it's off to work. Nice to see the sweeper cleaning the Alta Drive bike lane.

At the Las Vegas Convention Center, I saw this fella.

And then it was time to bike home.

Let's Take A Ride Home From Work

I bicycled home tonight from the R-J, and after only two miles the last of the blue light faded into a deeper Navy blue shade. It was cool out, but biking mostly uphill kept me warm for the 12.3-mile ride.

Green With Bicycle Lane Envy

Thank you Jessica Ebelhar, a talented Las Vegas Review-Journal photographer who took these very cool recent photos of new green bike lanes in Vegas. Las Vegas has more miles of bike lanes than that famed biketown called Portland and is adding green to some of the lanes.

Biking The Outdoor Cathedral Known As Red Rock Canyon

Biking the scenic loop at Red Rock Canyon was no easy experience. Lots of cars out on the circuit today with the clear weather and mid-60s temps.
