SWFBUD and CBE Help Commuters Week Event in Tampa

At lunch time today, I represented SWFBUD at a Commuter Week event in downtown Tampa and passed the word about the Bicycle Bash by the Bay. Brian Eckman and Manny Sierra from Carrollwood Bicycle Emporium were there, too, to wrench bikes, and Jack Sweeney AKA The Ghost Rider from bikecommuters.com joined the fun also.

TBARTA -- a Tampa Bay area regional transportation agency -- was in attendance today and for the first time I saw a TBARTA display that included a BICYCLE. The women at the TBARTA table made a special gesture to point out the bicycle photo inclusion after I've been whining to TBARTA for months now that they should include a photo of a bicycle and a bicyclist in its advertising and promotion material.
