A Tale of Two Downtowns: Vibrant St. Pete and Crickets Tampa

This morning at the Downtown farmer's market in St. Petersburg, there was an amazing buzz and vibrancy that Tampa lacks on the weekends (and most of the rest of the week, too).

Enjoy some fun bicycle shots at the farmer's market.

I visited the market to promote the Bicycle Bash by the Bay after the city of St. Petersburg held a ceremony to celebrate the opening of the 2.1-mile extension of the Pinellas Trail into downtown St. Pete. There were also hundreds of runners pounding the streets of St. Pete for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure this morning, too,

Mom and Dad and kid bike to the St. Pete farmer's market. For you parents out there, do yourselves a favor and make sure the helmet fits properly on your child's coconut and also don some helmet protection, too.

This Rays fan had his mohawk finest on when he stopped by the Bicycle Bash billboard this morning.
