Several Tampa police officers led by Chief Jane Castor did the 250-mile Police Unity Ride and my pal Ellen Pierson was among the Tampa contingent who rode in the memory of fallen officers.

Besides Chief Castor and Ellen other local Tampa bicyclists have completed the ride, including Tina Russo, Richard Gonzmart and Cindy Roberts -- wife of fallen Tampa Police Officer Michael Roberts who was killed on Nebraska Avenue.
ABC Action News did a great report on the local Tampa contingent at the Police Unity Tour.
