Lance Armstrong was on video last night wishing good luck to the some 700 bicycle supporters at the National Bike Summit reception. He was filmed during a training ride on a mountainous road in Hawaii.
We were munching and drinking at food stations and at small tables when Armstrong's helmeted head appeared on two big screens.
The place sure got quiet real fast.
The 700 Summit participants are from 48 of 50 states and there are also a few from England, and a few other European countries.
