Nice to hear from Tampa bicyclist Jose Menendez that he got Mayor Iorio of Tampa to sign a proclamation backing bicycling in the city.
Proclamations are great.
Bike studies are great.
Words are nice but more bike lanes, more bike signs and more trails make bicycling safer and more enjoyable.
I hope the mayor and the next mayor advise staff to make Tampa a bicycle-friendly city.
I also hear there will be two Friday bike rides tomorrow on campus at USF: One at 9:30 AM and one at 12 noon.
Meet on the North side of Juniper Poplar.
You might get bagels if you come to the 9:30 ride, Jessica says.
