Elderly bicyclist hit by pickup in Clearwater
CLEARWATER -- An elderly man on a bicycle was hit by a pickup today.
The westbound lanes of Countryside Boulevard at U.S. 19 are shut down and are expected to remain closed for at least an hour.
The unidentified man was taken to Bayfront Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, said Elizabeth Watts, public safety spokeswoman for Clearwater.
