Be On The Lookout For This Vehicle That Struck A Pinellas Park Bicyclist Sunday Night

Here's a pic of the type of vehicle that struck 20-year-old bicyclist Karri Bush in Pinellas Park on Sunday night and left her for dead. If you see this vehicle and it looks like it struck a bicycle, please contact Pinellas Park Police.

Here's a pic of Karri, who lost her leg from being struck by the Toyota SUV. She's alive but had to have a leg amputated.

This map shows the locations of the seven bicyclists who have been killed in the Tampa Bay area since July 29.

The latest cyclist to be killed was Brad Ash, who biked in Pasco County. He was struck while cycling from behind on Oct. 4 and died on Sunday. My Tampa bicycle pals Ed Collins and Alan Badia knew Brad and told me that he will be missed.

Dan DeWitt of the St. Pete Times wrote this piece about Brad, a teacher in Pasco County schools.
