First, it's great the city of Tampa is getting around to working on fixing Bayshore Blvd., which needs bike lanes on both sides of the road.
There was an information meeting today from 4-8 pm at the Tampa Garden Center on Bayshore where workers with Volkert, the company hired to come up with the Bayshore plan, answered questions about the proposed improvements.
Here, Jose, a very active Tampa bicyclist, shows a visitor that the proposed bike lane does not go all the way to Platt Street.
Overall, it's an improvement over what we have now on Bayshore but SWFBUD suggests a traffic signal at Bayshore and Platt and bike lanes the entire length of Bayshore.
